Meditation and Visualization
If you think you arent into meditation, or that you cant do visualizations, I have news for you. Not only are you great at both, but you also practice both on a daily and consistent basis!
Whatever you think about constantly is what you are meditating on. Your thoughts are constantly creating what is now in your life. When you meditate (i.e. think) about something consistently enough, and you pair it with feeling (i.e. emotion), you will create something tangible! These meditations are conscious, but there is another kind of meditation.
There is also what we do at night: sleep! Sleeping is a form of meditation. At night when we sleep, our bodies journey into the most helpful form of self-healing. We are replenished by sleep (or at least we SHOULD be!); it is natures built-in healing mechanism! Sleeping is a time of nourishment for our minds and bodies, a time to rest and let go of conscious thought. And then there are our dreams . . .
Dreams are a living form of visualization. They are symbolic and always visual. Im amazed when people tell me they are not creative and that they cannot visualize anything. This is a belief system, NOT the truth! Every one of us creates everything that is in our lives by what we dare to dream (i.e. visualize)! When we dream at night, we are in the realm of our subconscious and our superconscious minds and they are always in the form of visualizations.
One of the most powerful forms of visualization is guided visualization. Especially for anyone who believes that he or she is not creative or cannot visualize anything, a guided visualization is a journey into who you really are. It can take you to the heart of your being and help you by offering a clear and simple pathway. No matter what, however, YOU are the one that is in control and YOU are the one doing the creating and the visualizing.
When you use meditation and visualization consciously, you can work with your higher self to create anything your heart desires. You can create a raise, or a new career. You can create a new relationship, or a good grade in a class. Anything and everything is open to you when you put your mind to it!
