5. Alternate between oil-based and alcohol-based products. Your face needs a break. Using the same cleansers and toners every day could inflame your skin.

6. Use an ointment or cream which contains benzoyl peroxide to help your acne disappear. Although many dermatologists recommend products with tretinoin, we caution you against them if your skin is sensitive, because it can be very irritating and cause further inflammation.
