Many salespeople could be so much more successful than they are. All that is needed is a willingness to stop behaviors that hurt their success and replace them with actions and attitudes that will ensure success. What are some of the factors that limit salespeoples success? See if you can see yourself in any of the following:

1. Believing that success in selling will be easy and fast.

2. The inability to keep yourself motivated regardless of the circumstances.

3. Living in the past or the future.

4. A lack of consistent effort.

5. Letting yourself off the hook when you fail to reach your goals.

6. A lack of clear focus, direction and goals.

7. Inadequate planning time.

8. Not investing enough time and cash in yourself and your skills and attitude development.

9. Low aim.

10. A failure to positively manage rejection and failure.

Theres more, but that should give most of you some food for thought. What can we do to prevent these self-sabotaging attitudes or behaviors?

1. Get up an hour earlier every day and spend the time planning your day, year, career or life.

2. Start investing 10% of your income and time in your self-development.

3. Start a personal goal setting journal and live it every day.

4. Develop a greater degree of patience, faith and trust in yourself and the world.

5. Give yourself away a little every day: your time, ideas, energy, etc.

6. Count your blessings and live with gratitude for what you have.

7. Take full responsibility for your life, yourself, your career, your future, your past. Get it? Take full responsibility for everything in your life.

8. Kill your ego.

9. Accept the reality that not everyone you meet, try to sell to, etc. is going to like you. Its just not that kind of world.

10. Relax and enjoy the ride.

11. Embrace change and let go of attachments to the past.

12. Start a good-stuff jar.

13. Work as if you will live forever, and live as if you will die today.

Next, home security is simple to enforce if you adhere to the basic key points that must be put in place to allow prevention of a break in. Keeping your property tidy and free from overgrown trees and shrubs can help reduce the chance of a break in. Also keeping the grass cut indicated that there is someone at home and that the person hasnt gone on holidays because the grass looks freshly cut. This is a major deterrent to any would be thief or passers by. Keep your mail box clear of mail and dont let it get full of mail and junk mail less a would be thief see this and think you are gone away on holidays. This is a key point to remember because it fits in with keeping the grass cut and outside tidy in appearance.

Next, home security measures can take another step up and involve implementing things like having a dog, driveway security light, outside garden lights with motion sensor, front door motion sensor light, front door security alarm and camera. These are just a few next level third party items that make a difference to a property particularly if the property is concealed behind bushes and trees. A home with a dog is a really good deterrent from any thief, because a dog is easily sensitive to outside noises and movement. Home security implementation is most effective when a dog is introduced because when the dog starts barking it alerts neighbors also making them aware of any unwanted activity near their place and therefore they would be more likely to watch out for you place too! As well it also triggers other dogs in the area to bark and it is in effect a natural anti-theft alarm system that is low cost bust most effective.

Home security without a dog requires an electronic means of protection that is integrated with both alarm and lights. But the most important thing to remember is prevention is better than cure therefore to prevent someone breaking in it is good to use a light sensor to ward them off.
If possible have a large fence surrounding the place with be a distraction and a beware of dogs sign on the fence too! After a home security measure like this has been put in place then there is less likely going to be a break in by anyone passing by unless they know your property and you well.

Home security is simple in implementing in prevention and also is simple in protection; by using technology a home security plan can keep your chances of theft very low.
Cameras, motions sensors, door codes systems and outside lighting can be effective and worthwhile investing in if you need lots of protection.

You may come upon depressive areas, and physiological symptoms may materialize. You may feel fuzziness or drowsy at times. It depends on your situation.

When the pressure begins to make you feel uneasy, start making splendid persistence on taking back your power by continuing to meditate.

Start to probe deep inside your mind, exploring the hidden information. At what time you discover new prints then take notes. You want to use this information to help you develop new skills.

Through guided mediation, you learn to rework how you feel by reassuring stress and hurt. Relaxation begins with mediating. Relaxation helps you to maintain and evict the stress that is affecting your life. Relaxing often will help you to restore your healthy sleeping patterns. Through meditating, you can rework your circle by making positive changes. Such as, at what time you are feeling uncomfortable or worried, you will learn to slow down your vitals and change the way you think to break these hunches or feelings.

There is an old saying, If it aint broke dont fix it, many people subscribe to this philosophy with their computers. If they can turn their computer on and access their email or play a game, then preparing for an eventual disaster is usually the last thing on their minds.

If you use your computer for business or store important files like family pictures or tax records, it is imperative that you formulate a plan to backup your computer on a regular basis. Even if your computer is brand new, or just a few months old, hard drives can fail, power surges and lightening strikes happen, and viruses or malware can wipe out your data at a moments notice.

Recently, the main hard drive failed in one of the computers I manage for a busy Real Estate office. They had a backup plan in place, but they failed to routinely follow it. The latest backup data on the external drive was over a year old. They lost hundreds of contacts and thousands of dollars in labor spent building data bases and specialized software files.

I restored all the old data I could and immediately instituted a regular backup schedule that they have been following religiously. They were not worried about a catastrophic data failure because they had installed new hard drives in their computers just over a year ago. But hard rives are very delicate and complex, and one never knows when there may be a failure.

So how do you go about setting up and following a proper computer backup plan? Here are my suggestions:

1. Get Some Form of External Storage Capability. Windows XP has a built in restore feature, but that is worthless if you have a catastrophic hard drive failure. To be truly effective, your computer backups must be stored outside of your computer. You can do this by writing the data to CDROMS or DVDs, but this is a rather slow and cumbersome method. There are online services which allow you to store your data on their secure servers, but the upload times can be really slow, even with broad band.

I recommend getting a large capacity external hard drive, preferably with USB 2 or FireWire capability. Buy the largest capacity drive you can afford, a minimum of 120 Gigabytes. Now if your main hard drive fails, you will have a current mirror image of the drive you can restore using a special boot disk created by your backup software.

2. Buy a Computer Backup Program and Use it. There are a lot of software solutions out there, Norton Ghost is probably the most well known. For various reasons I wont get into in this article, I dont recommend Ghost as your primary backup software. I have tried many different backup programs and the one I use most frequently is Arconis True Image. Regardless of what program you choose, learn to use it effectively, develop a computer backup plan and stick to it.

You may want to backup once a week, every other day or even daily if you are constantly adding new and important data. I perform an incremental backup of each computer every five days. This gives us recent enough data files to work off of should we experience another failure. Whatever schedule you choose, stick to it, no excuses.

3. Create a boot disk and know how to use it. The most recent backup in the world is useless if you are unable to restore it. If your hard drive fails, you must be able to restore your backup data to your new drive or computer. To do this you will need a bootable CD or a set of bootable floppy disks to restore your backup image. Each program does this a bit differently, be sure to read the manual and fully understand the process.

By following the Best Practices I listed above, your data will be safe from eventual loss. Hard drive failure will no longer be a major catastrophe, if you have a proper backup plan in place you can be up and running in a matter of hours.

The Anglesey Coastal Path after Amwlch becomes very rugged and it rises and falls dramatically, passing through more highly photogenic industrial ruins. The landscape photographer walking this section of the Anglesey coastal path is spoilt for choice.

The first major opportunity for the photographer along this section of the coastal path is Bull Bay, a nice enough place and a popular tourist destination, but perhaps lacking any substantial opportunities for photography - its still worth a visit just to be sure. From Bull Bay the path starts to climb dramatically and its from here onwards that the landscape provides a great deal of inspiration for the photographer. Near the end of the long climb you arrive at the stunning Porth Wen, a large bay surrounded by rocky cliffs with, on one side, the remains of disused Victorian brickworks. Although abandoned the main structures remain, the kilns, chimneys and a small harbour wall, it is actually quite impressive, its location enhancing its appeal. Porth Wen is an excellent location for the landscape photographer, particularly anyone interested in industrial landscapes.

Leaving Porth Wen the Anglesey Coastal Path climbs further and the drama of the landscape increases, becoming even more rugged and visually stunning. The photographer really is spoilt for choice, the industrial ruins continue with a series of kilns and buildings located where the path falls suddenly back to sea level in a series of valleys. It really is difficult to overemphasis the photogenic nature of this section of the Anglesey Coastal Path. This continues as the path heads towards Cameas, passing along the way the Llandabrig Church. It is perched high on the clifftop overlooking the sea and has a unique character. The church is an excellent photography subject, a wide-angle lens is being essential to make the most of the opportunity.

A short distance down the cliffs from the church is another section of coastline not to be missed. A large, rock-strewn beach appears, the main appeal the landscape photographer being a large section of the mainland that has broken away. It now stands in the centre of the beach resembling a rugged monument. It makes an excellent subject for the landscape photographer, foreground interest is abundant too.

From here the Anglesey Coastal Path falls gradually on its approach to Cemaes. This quaint coastal village has lots of potential for photography, with the small harbour and the large sweeping bay provide the main subjects. Unfortunately though, just around the bay from Cameas things get distinctly less photogenic in the form of a monstrous nuclear power station. This is actually seen occasionally on the approach from Porth Wen but fortunately not too often to detract from the otherwise stunning coastline. I cannot recommend this section of the Anglesey Coastal Path highly enough, in its relatively short distance it provides the landscape photographer with a wealth of opportunities.

The critical ingredient in a successful sales outcome is the ability to get adequate and accurate information as early in the sales process as possible. Those of you who have read my books, previous tips, or have attended one of my sales seminars are well aware of the importance I place on the ability to ask good questions in the right way, at the right time. It is unfortunate that many salespeople are still selling by going into a feature DUMP too early in the sales process before they have learned:

the buyers dominant emotional buying motive.
the buyers critical needs, wants, issues or challenges.
the buyers personality style.
what is preventing their prospects from getting a good nights sleep.
where future potential sales resistance will come from.
Etc., etc., etc.

I came across the sentence completion method several years ago when I was reading a book on psychotherapy. (Now dont jump to any conclusions here, folks!) There are a number of techniques therapists use when counseling with a patient. One of the ones that I thought might be of value in the sales process is called the sentence completion method. I have used this technique with great success ever since. Here it is.

What the therapist (salesperson, manager, parent, etc.) does is say to the prospect: I would like to give you some sentence stems and I would like you to complete the sentences by putting some endings on. For example:

You would like your employees to_________________.
You wish your salespeople would__________________.
You would like your managers to stop______________.
You could achieve more if you would_______________.
Your relationship would be better if your partner would begin_______________.
You would feel better about yourself if others would stop__________________.
You could take control of your life if_________________________.
Your organization would be more profitable if every employee______________.
